Overnight transatlantic
flight to BERGEN. Time to ask Sally questions about
all those settings on your camera.

|
Arrive in BERGEN with time to explore and
photograph the Fish and Flower Market and harbor area before
boarding your Norwegian Coastal Voyage Ship.
|
|
3
|
Today the ship stops at the beautiful Art
Nouveau town of Alesund. Then spend the afternoon at the
port of Geiranger with an opportunity to photograph the
Brudesloret, Friaren and the Seven Sisters Waterfalls.

4
|
Visit the historic town of Trondheim this
morning. Cross the city bridge to photograph the
Nidaros Cathedral. The ship will sail past many
islands and skerries today.
|

5 |
Cross the Arctic
Circle and pass the Borvass Mountains as you take
photographs in the light of the Midnight Sun. Step off
the ship to explore the town of Bodo. |
|
6 |
Sail north past a
magnificent archipelago and stop at Tromso, known as
the "Paris of the North" with time to shop and capture some
colorful images. |
|
7 |
Travel past fishing
villages in the Finnmark region and spend time off the ship
at both Hammerfest, the world's northernmost town, and
Honningsvag. |
|
8 |
This morning arrive
at Kirkenes, the end of the voyage, and the start of your
Lapland adventure. Travel by van with a driver-guide to Tana
Bru, the Norway-Finland border. Continue through a
constantly changing landscape to Inari and check into the
Hotel Kultahovi for two nights. |

9 |
Visit the Sami and
Nature Center of Northern Lapland to learn more about local
culture. Then take the scenic photo hike to the beautiful Pielpajarvi Wilderness Church. In the evening visit a
colorful Sami reindeer herding family. |

10 |
Leave Inari,
stopping to photograph the beautiful lake scenery.
Pass through the Sami village of Sevettijarvi before
arriving back in Kirkenes to take your flight to Oslo.

11 |
Transfer from the
airport to your hotel for a final night in Norway and a
farewell dinner to celebrate a wonderful journey. |

12 |
Pack up your
pictures and leave from Oslo for
your flight home. |

What is the Coastal Voyage?

Norwegian Coastal Voyage,
also known as the Hurtiguten.

Do I have to be a professional
photographer to go on this trip? Can I go with you, but not
take part in the seminar?
Anyone interested in taking
pictures or just taking in the scenic views is welcome.
An expensive camera is also not necessary, and we will be
happy to share our photos if you do not want to take
pictures at all. If you want an escorted trip, but without
the seminar take $1000 off the $5200 cost for a total of
$4200.

When is the trip, and when can I sign up for it?
The most desirable cabins sell out early
so we have to reserve our places soon! The voyage is
planned for July 31- Aug. 12, 2008 and we are taking
reservations with a $300 deposit until October 31, 2007.

What kind of photography training will we
get?
You will be traveling with Sally Alvarez whose photos can be
seen in this website's
WALL DECOR
section and at www.sallya.com.
She will give individual assistance, several opportunities
for group members to view and critique their photos using
her projection equipment.

What is the total cost for this
travel/photography seminar?
The escorted 12-day experience is priced at $5200.
This includes all transportation: international roundtrip
airfare from NYC, air from Kirkenes to Oslo, and ground
transfers within Norway. Also includes all lodging,
most meals, the Hurtigruten voyage (no tipping), trip
insurance
and, of course, your in-depth photography seminar.
Early booking special: $4998 before Oct.1, 2007. Those
not interested in the seminar can still come with us for
$4200.
